The snake!!!
This story happened in Jima, Ethiopia.
Our parents work at Jima, a 8 hour drive from Addis Ababa . Well, I was at Jima for the summer vacation when I was in 4th grade. I spent the first 7 days pleasantly, but the 8th day wasn't so pleasant.
The 8th day I went outside to smell the fresh air. I walked around our clean garden. Our garden had long green grass and there were some flower. Suddenly a “suwoofsh” sound came behind me. It was a snake. A big fat snake. It was about 2 meters long. Its skin had red yellow then black then yellow red.....!!! The snakes face was black! It had a scar mark from the top of his face to the bottom kind slanted like this /. It started to move closer to me. I thought,”I'm a goner.”I was so scared my legs couldn't move. My legs felt like that it was frozen.
Suddenly a rock came flying from behind me. It almost hit me. It was our worker. He began to throw rocks at the snake. Soon other worker saw this and came to help. After about a minute the snake squiggled and then died. I ran home told myself not to go in the deep grass.
