My Tesseract Adventure on Apia
A few days ago, I made a very big mistake. It all started when my friends and I were at the mall together on an ordinary day in May. We heard about a new store in the mall that opened, so we decided to go there. It was a really scientific place. There were quite a few people there. We saw a huge machine that had lots of buttons. It looked so cool that we went to check it out.
Then Haifa said, "This thing makes me dizzy by looking at all the buttons.” “Come on guys, let’s go." "I thought you guys hated science, especially Chemistry." So Haifa, Mama, Karolina, Herma and Hiwote left. Just Ida and I remained. We thought it was pretty cool. So I pressed one of the buttons that said “tesser”. I had no clue what tesser meant. So, within half a millisecond we were gone.
I didn't know what was going on. It was dark and cold. I felt so tickly inside and I thought my whole body was ripping apart into little pieces. I was shaking because it felt like freezing cold water was falling down on me like a waterfall. I was so dizzy because of such loud music. I tried to call Ida to say something but I couldn't. I couldn't even hear myself yelling through the loud music. I felt scared. Then after about 3.22 minutes, everything was normal. Ida was right beside me looking around in all directions. But we were somewhere we didn't know. "Where are we? What just happened? said Ida curiously. I said, I have no clue. We were on a hill with colorful flowers and trees. The sun was shinning and everything was bright. there was a big sign that said in bold purple letters, Welcome to Apia.”
So we were on Apia, another planet. We decided to go down there hill and go into the city. When we got there we saw lots of buildings that were all different. There were huge mansions and some office buildings. The streets were very clean with no beggars. Everything looked so beautiful. There were some cars that drove by. They were all really nice cars. They were so fancy looking. A few of them were 2 story cars. They had curtains and everything ! I was so amazed. There were some people who stared at us. They were dressed in normal clothes that we wear on our Earth. But the thing that really caught my attention was the wide, 4 story, big building. I asked a girl around our age what that building was and she said, "The Mall of Apia of course.” And she walked off.
When we heard the word "Mall”we went crazy. We really wanted to go and see how it looked like, so we went in. There were so many people crowded around with shopping bags everywhere. We came in and looked around. Everything was casual but very funky. We really wanted to buy some things but we didn't have much money. Altogether we had $27.25. We knew we had to have something to eat because we were starved.
There was one big problem. We didn't have Apian money. We were so hungry because it was already 1:35 pm. We could see people eating in luxurious restaurants with such good food. there was a Burben King, Duckdonalds, Kentucky grilled pigs, and lots more ! We were being tempted so badly we were practically drooling. We couldn't take it any more. We went into the Duckdonalds and asked them if they take Earth money ($).
The lady said, "A boo chula.”"What ?" Ida replied. "A boo chula, Kapashimoo." the lady said.
Finally, Ida gave up and said, "I never knew they had their own language. This is so unfair, I would be at home having macaroni and cheese, beans, kool-aid and a big fat brownie!”"Calm down! Can't you see people are staring at us? Now they know we are complete strangers here that come from a dumb old planet called, Earth!" I said.
Then a man came towards us. He had a bit of white hair with a mixture of gray. He had big glasses. He was wearing a black shirt with Navy pants. He had a bit of wrinkles on his face and looked like he was in his early 50's.
He said, “Hi, my name is Floyd Celli. I think I come from the same place as you guys. So what are you doing here?”
So we sat down and started eating while we listened to Mr. Celli telling us about him coming to this place 1 year ago.
“Well, it all happened when I heard about the new Ford Spit Fire 2000. I was really interested in it and they said that you had to tesser to a planet called Xepla, where they have it there, not anywhere else.
Then some people who knew how to tesser came with me but when I arrived here I was somewhere else called Apia. I was alone with nobody, not even the other people who knew how to tesser. So, to summerize that I came here by accident. I'm still stuck here on the planet Apia.”explained Mr. Celli.
“So, have you eve tried to tesser back?” I asked.
“No.” replied Mr. Celli.
Then suddenly there was a woman that said, “Goobooby, Capoolu Chimaku. Kass ! (which means grab them and bring them to me, Now!)
These men who were dressed in Black came to us and grabbed us by the wrist and dragged us to the woman. Then we were all got knocked down to the floor and got beaten and then we were unconscious.
Then I heard Mr. Celli saying, “Oh, no. We are in serious trouble.”
“Where are we?” asked Ida dizzily.
“We are in the prison of Apia. We have been captured by Yoshimkala, the ruler of this planet. She does not like strangers on her land. We have to escape from here before we get into anymore trouble.” said Mr. Celli.
We tried to undo the ropes that were around our wrists but we couldn't. Then we heard something. We saw Yoshimkala and heard her saying something in Apian to her guards. they came and untied us and brought us to Yoshimkala's office. It looked really freaky. There were Bear skins and lion skins hanging on the wall with guns and knives next to it.
Then Yoshimkala said bravely, “You are no allowed to be on my land. I no happy. You will die now.” She took a gun and aimed right at my forehead. But then as quick as I could I ran out of there as fast as possible with Mr. Celli and Ida following along. We ran out of the building and pass the mall and came to a deserted place.
We finally stopped running and were out of breath. We looked around and saw nothing but one little house. So we decided to go there. On our way Ida said, “man, that was close. We could have been dead by now!”
“Yeah, I know.” I agreed.
“I --- can’t ---believe --- I--- actually --- ran all the --- way from there to here. I --- think I need to --- rest and eat something.” Mr. Celli said exhaustedly.
“Well, come on and let’s see if there is any food in that house.”Ida said.
We got there and found some weird people having breakfast. They were speaking fluent English. They were dressed strangely and had uncombed hair with glasses. We greeted them and asked for food to eat and explained all about our Journey.
They were from Earth and were professional tesserers. They were alone making their newest tessering machine the night before, and were planning to go back to Earth today. So we asked if we could to too. They thought about it till lunch and agreed that we could join them.
We got all ready and were anxious to get back.
“So, who’s going first?” I asked.
“You girls go first then we will.” answered Mr. Celli.
“O.K.” we agreed.
All we had to do was to jump through this 3ft wide and 4ft long hole and we would be tessered back to Earth.
So, on the count of three, we were supposed to jump in. We were nervous and scared so we held hands.
“One, Two.” said Mr. Celli.
“Hey, wait a second, aren't we doing mississippi?” asked one of the weird guys.
“O.K, just wandering.” the wired guy said.
“One, Two, Three!” said Mr. Celli.
And we jumped in and were feeling the same thing again. I exactly 3.22 minutes we were on Earth, in the mall, in the new scientific store standing there looking at the machine.
We were waiting for Mr. Celli and the other weird guys to come but they didn't. We waited for about 25 minutes until the store was about to close. We waited and waited until the next day but they didn't come. They had not made it. They were still stuck on the planet Apia alone.
